New Blog: Short, Small & Sweet

The adventures of a dimpled girl living and working in the smallest prefecture of Japan.
I’m Ru, an ALT on the JET Programme in the small city of Tottori. This blog is a record of my life in the city of Sand Dunes + pears, travels around Japan, things I like, and occasional doses of food ventures.

About this Japan blogger

A city girl from Singapore, I left my job as a pre-school teacher and came to countryside Tottori, Japan in August 2010 on the JET Programme as an Assistant Language Teacher (ALT). I teach in a junior high school, and make weekly elementary school visits. I started this blog to record my new life in the city of Sand Dunes, vast paddy fields, and lovely inaka people. (You can also find blogposts of my past travels.)
